Tokyo Blue

Tokyo Blue

This bowl lives in my head rent-free. Blue turquoise glaze with these tiny sparkles that I've been obsessing over since Tokyo. Working with ClaySpace in Greenpoint now, trying to reverse-engineer something close. An ode to Japan, one test tile at a time.

Serie Taína — first glaze tests

Results from the first batch of testing

Five glazes off one base, each pushed somewhere different. These test tiles are how I locked in the colors before pulling them onto black clay for the shop.
